The project addresses the fight against the climate change through the creation of learning materials directed at tourism professionals as well as educators so as to popularize the regenerative practices and strategies which consist in leaving destinations in a better state than the one in which they were found. Additionally, the ENFORCE project pays special attention to storytelling as a marketing strategy which has the potential of attracting great numbers of clients when used for the promotional purposes of regenerative tourism experiences which can contribute to reinventing tourism in order to maintain Europe as a leading destination.
The main objective of the project is to support the development of a whole set of skills (green, digital as well as soft skills) of SMEs , micro-enterprises, and start-ups in the tourism sector by developing innovative regenerative cultural tourism experiences by means of the marketing strategy called storytelling. Other objectives are: to strengthen local and regional tourism networks and stakeholder cooperation as well as the educational sector; promote regenerative cultural tourism experiences through storytelling; incentivize digitalization of tourism; promote regenerative practices and strategies; development of tourism offers that support local economies and regenerative approaches.
The results of the project are the following ones: the creation of an interactive map with good practices and case studies of storytelling for sustainable and/or regenerative tourism experiences; blended training titled Drive regenerative cultural tourism by telling the right stories; trainings with the materials developed throughout the life of the project.
