Video Contest: EVS Film Festival

The EVS Film Festival, the video contest on Youth citizenship has been launched! This year, the video contest aims to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the European Voluntary Service.

Organised by the French Erasmus+ Agency for Youth & Sport, the EVS film festival is inviting every person living in Europe, between 13 and 35 years old, to create a video lasting maximum 3 minutes, under the theme “To be 20, a part to play and get involved!”.

Current and former participants of the Erasmus+ programme are strongly encouraged to join in. One special prize will be awarded to the best film sent by an EVS volunteer (EVS).
The three winners will be invited to participate to a “special” weekend in Montreuil (France) from 22 to 23 September 2016 to celebrate the EVS 20th anniversary and the Youth participation.

Roma Education Fund Scholarships Programme 2016-2017

The Roma Education Fund’s Scholarship Program (REF SP) announces the opening of its yearly scholarship cycle of the Roma International Scholar Program (RISP).

The aim of the scholarship is to promote academic mobility of Roma students and support their academic integration internationally.

The Programme offers open merit–based competition academic scholarships for Roma students pursuing Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degrees at state-accredited universities in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey and Ukraine.


– first stage application: 25 July 2016.

– second stage application: autumn.

Traineeship at the Council of the European Union

The General Secretariat of the Council (GSC) offers around 100 paid traineeships every year, each lasting 5 months.

Traineeships are offered to EU nationals who, by the deadline for submitting applications, have completed at least the first part of university studies and have a degree certificate or equivalent.

There are 2 traineeship periods, each lasting 5 months:

  • 1 February – 30 June(first period)
  • 1 September – 31 January(second period)

Video Competition: “Film4Climate”

The Film4Climate Global Video Competition has been launched!

Young inspiring film makers, between 14 and 35 years old, from across the globe, are invited to showcase their talents and create a Public Service Advertisement (PSA) (less than 1 min) or a Short Film (1-5 minutes) about climate action.


The videos should show a personal climate change narrative:

– What does climate change mean to you?

– What are you doing to solve the climate challenge?

– What is your climate message to the world?


The deadline for your submissions in 15th September 2016.
